Workplace savings schemes – Government sends mixed signals

mercredi 9 septembre 2026
Budget 2027 - Government backtracks on plan to tax employee savings schemes. Sébastien Lecornu has made clear the aim is not to increase the tax burden on these arrangements. Meanwhile, the Prime Minister has thrown his weight behind a one-off early withdrawal option—up to €5,000 tax-free. The Senate passed the measure in April, and the National Assembly is expected to vote on it before the end of the year. Yet the sector remains unconvinced, as shown by the recent joint statement from AFG, Fondact, France Invest and the FAS.
