Sponsored research – A new “French-style” EU framework

Financial analysis – Since 7 September 2026, a new European code of conduct has governed sponsored research. The framework mirrors the French best-practice charter on issuer-funded research, introduced in 2022 by the AFG, AMAFI and SFAF, which the three bodies have now formally withdrawn.
