Société Générale – UniCredit to acquire Italian unit from SGSS
Publié le 20 oct. 2026 à 15:44
M&A – Société Générale is selling an Italian unit of Société Générale Securities Services to UniCredit, confirming a report first broken by Reuters. Two decades after outsourcing the business to the French bank, Italy’s second-largest lender is bringing the securities-services operation back in-house and taking on 54 of its staff. The deal is sizeable, but still a relatively small move for the asset-servicing arm of the bancassurer, which is led by Arnaud Jacquemin.
